  • Yes, we do have a set uniform please refer to our information pack or visit geelongschoolofdance.com/uniform

    We do not expect our new students to be in full uniform for their first lesson.

  • Yes, we sell second hand shoes available at reception.

    Shoes price range $5-20 depending on style and condition.

  • Absolutely, Yes! We offer trial classes for new students, however all trials must be pre-booked in advance and are subject to class availability and may not be available during peak times.

  • Our class viewing policy is designed to help students focus, build confidence, and get the most out of their lesson. The policy varies by age group as follows:

    For All Students:

    • Open Weeks: Selected lessons throughout the year are designated as "Open Weeks," where families are invited into the studio to watch a portion of the class and see their dancer's progress. We provide advance notice of these dates via email.

    By Age Group:

    • Parent-Assisted Classes (e.g., Teeny Tiny Groovers for ages 2 & 3):

      • One parent or guardian is welcome and encouraged to join their dancer in the studio for the entire class.

      • If bringing a younger sibling, we kindly ask that they remain seated and do not play on the dance floor to avoid distracting the little dancers.

    • Preschool Classes (Ages 4 & 5):

      • These are closed classes to foster independence and school readiness.

      • Parents/guardians are welcome to wait in our reception area. If your child is settled, you may also leave and return for pick-up.

      • Please Note: If your child is not yet toilet-trained or may require assistance, we require a parent/guardian to remain in reception for the entire class.

    • Primary & High School Classes:

      • These are closed classes to minimize distractions.

      • Parents/guardians are welcome to leave and return at pick-up time.

  • Yes. A make up lesson can be booked subject to availability and if we have your class on an alternative day and time. Bookings must be made prior through email or call our office phone. A maximum of 2 make up lessons may be booked per term,

  • Yes absolutely! We have an annual end of year concert held at (Geelong Arts Centre) the whole school performs in this concert excluding our preschoolers an circus students.

    Our preschoolers and circus students have an optional EOY performance held at Mcauley Hall, Sacred Heart College,

  • No. We have a costume hire fee. The hire fee covers students costumes worn for end of year concert and any other performances they choose to perform in throughout the year.

  • Yes! It depends on the age group, class and how many Teachers and assistants we have available allocated to the class.

    A minimum of 5 students is required for classes to proceed.

    If a class is cancelled due to being too small, Students will be encouraged to attend another day/time if the same or similar class is running.
